The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo announced that Governor Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by senior BQK officials, held a bilateral meeting in Washington, D.C. with the International Monetary Fund’s mission chief for Kosovo, David Amaglobeli, on the margins of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings, focusing on recent macroeconomic and financial developments and BQK’s reform agenda. The discussion covered the status of BQK reforms aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth and strengthening the domestic financial system. The IMF side shared its views on global economic developments and their possible implications for Kosovo, and welcomed BQK’s reforms to the financial sector and institutional capacity.
