The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) announced that Global Money Week 2025 will take place from 17 to 23 March as part of the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE) initiative, with CVM coordinating the campaign in Brazil. The 13th edition will run under the theme “Think before you follow, your financial future thanks you for reflecting”, with free talks, workshops, debates and other activities delivered online, in person and in hybrid formats. The programme’s main focus is the development of digital finance and how consumers interact with online financial services, including the rise of investment influencers (finfluencers) and the growing use of artificial intelligence. Discussions will also cover how these trends can make it harder, especially for young people, to identify reliable information, as well as the role of emotions and behavioural biases such as herd behaviour in driving poor financial decisions.
