The publication highlights a strong concentration of insurance activity in Albania’s largest prefectures, led by Tirana. In 2024 Tirana accounted for 62.09% of gross written premiums, followed by Durrës (7.18%), Korçë (5.15%), Vlorë (4.60%) and Fier (4.53%). Insurance density was around ALL 10,364.79 per capita, up about ALL 838.63 from the prior year; premium per capita was highest in Tirana at ALL 20,011.64, ahead of Durrës (ALL 7,885.51), Vlorë (ALL 7,819.41), Gjirokastër (ALL 7,697.89) and Korçë (ALL 7,506.08). Paid claims were also concentrated in Tirana (67.94%) and Durrës (10.10%), with the dataset allowing comparison with the previous year.
