Ontario Securities Commission's Capital Markets Tribunal announced updated membership of its Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee (SPAC), which advises the Governance & Tribunal Secretariat on policy and procedural initiatives for Tribunal hearings. The Tribunal is an independent division of the OSC that conducts hearings under the Ontario Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. SPAC members are Law Society of Ontario lawyers practising, or having practised within the past three years, in securities litigation, serving three-year terms that may be extended, alongside staff from the OSC's Enforcement, General Counsel's Department and Governance & Tribunal Secretariat. The Secretariat welcomed Maureen Doherty (Borden Ladner Gervais LLP), Ljiljana Stanic (McCarthy Tétrault LLP) and Stephanie Voudouris (Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP), extended the term of Jonathan Wansbrough (Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP), and noted the conclusion of terms for John Picone (Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP) and Sarah Bowden (Foreman & Company).
