The Bank of the Lao hosted members of the 10th National Assembly representing constituency No. 1 in Vientiane Capital for a working meeting that combined a legislative outreach session with a central bank briefing. The bank presented a summary of its work over the first five months of 2026 and outlined its plan through the end of the year, while the visiting lawmakers reported on the outcomes of the inaugural sessions of the 10th National Assembly and the fifth Vientiane People’s Council. The meeting was framed as an opportunity to disseminate the main results of those legislative sessions and to gather comments and proposals from constituents on implementation of the national socio-economic development plan in Vientiane Capital and related issues. Participants also exchanged views on issues arising in society, with proposals to be taken forward by National Assembly members in coordination with relevant authorities for further consideration and possible follow-up. The bank said the half-day meeting drew more than 100 participants, including senior officials and staff from the central bank.
