The Bank of Mauritius launched BOMStats, a statistical data platform that provides streamlined access to its official statistics and enables users to find, analyze and use the data through self-service tools and application programming interfaces. The platform supports structured, interoperable data sharing and dissemination in the Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange format, an international standard for exchanging statistical data and metadata. Its deployment makes the Bank of Mauritius the first African central bank to use Open Data Platform 2.0 technology.
