The National Bank of Georgia reported that Governor Natia Turnava met with an International Monetary Fund mission led by Alejandro Hajdenberg, providing an update on the country’s monetary policy stance, financial stability conditions, and the macroeconomic outlook and risks. The ongoing IMF mission is reviewing Georgia’s macroeconomic environment alongside fiscal and monetary policies. The meeting also covered future cooperation on IMF technical assistance. Participants included the First Vice-Governor Ekaterine Mikabadze, Vice-Governors Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze, the IMF Resident Representative in Georgia Andrew Jewell, and National Bank of Georgia department heads.
