Nigeria's National Insurance Commission organized a one-day training program for officers of the Nigeria Police Force's Federal Capital Territory Command on enforcing Motor Third-Party Insurance and other compulsory insurance requirements. The program focused on strengthening officers' ability to verify policies, identify genuine insurance certificates and promote compliance with applicable laws. The training supports cooperation between the commission and police to reduce the number of uninsured vehicles, curb fake insurance certificates and protect road users from the financial consequences of accidents. Officers were also encouraged to raise public awareness of compulsory insurance in their areas of responsibility, in line with the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025.
