The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority’s Company Establishment and Licensing Committee approved applications covering the establishment and licensing of five entities to conduct non-banking financial activities, including securities promotion and underwriting, management of real estate investment funds, investment fund management, securities portfolio management and venture capital. The approvals included the establishment of Co Wealth to carry out securities promotion and underwriting and manage real estate investment funds, and the establishment of Co Wealth Fund as a company set up for a real estate investment fund. Nawy Shares was licensed to conduct securities promotion and underwriting and manage real estate investment funds, while CI Capital for Fund Management and Venture Capital received authorisation to add venture capital activity to its core purpose. Thunder Technology Holding for Financial Investments was licensed to form and manage securities portfolios and to manage investment funds as an additional purpose; the committee acts under the FRA Chairman’s Decision No. 3060 of 2023.
