The U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network issued a final rule, effective upon publication in the Federal Register, that permanently exempts U.S. companies and persons from Corporate Transparency Act beneficial ownership reporting and provides for deletion of their previously reported information, while foreign entities that are reporting companies must continue reporting beneficial ownership information for foreign individuals.
