The China Securities Regulatory Commission convened an expanded Party committee meeting and its Party-building leading group to launch a system-wide study and education programme on “establishing and practising a correct view of political achievements”, following central Party guidance. The initiative is positioned as a key Party-building task for the CSRC system this year. Work will be organised around an integrated “learn, examine, rectify” approach, including study of the official compilation of Xi Jinping’s remarks on the topic and the use of representative cases. The CSRC system is to identify and address deviations by benchmarking against a stated list of common problems and against issues flagged through central inspection tours, central audit findings and other supervisory feedback, with “prominent problems” subject to focused remediation. Institutional measures are also to be strengthened by reviewing existing rules and mechanisms that do not align with the required performance orientation, establishing prevention and correction mechanisms, and improving channels for market participants to raise concerns, with the stated aim of more effectively protecting investors’ legitimate rights and interests. Implementation is to take place under the oversight and guidance of the discipline inspection and supervision group stationed at the CSRC, with clear accountability for heads of units and leadership teams and an instruction to avoid formalism. The programme is also to be coordinated with the CSRC’s core capital market work for the year, including efforts linked to the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
