Bulgaria's Ministry of Finance supported the launch of the 2026 postal and philatelic issue Bulgaria in the Eurozone, dedicated to Bulgaria's accession to the euro area and featuring the first Bulgarian postage stamp with a face value in euros. The stamp was validated by Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadzhov, together with the project’s artist. Karadzhov said Bulgarian lev-denominated stamps will continue to be sold through the Bulgarian Post network until stocks are exhausted, with prices converted into euros at the official exchange rate, while Petkova pointed to implementation in line with the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria.
