Estonia's Finantsinspektsioon issued OÜ GS Core an operating licence as a debt collection company, allowing it to collect debts arising from the credit contracts of banks and other creditors as required under the Debt Collection and Debt Purchase Act. The licence covers credit management activities involving overdue claims, including calling in debts, collecting overdue payments and negotiating terms with borrowers. It also imposes obligations including handling complaints related to the credit contract and informing borrowers of contractual requirements set by the bank or creditor, as well as changes to interest rates, fees or payments. OÜ GS Core’s management board members are Sofia Kirsimaa and Kaspars Bālāboliņš, and Finantsinspektsioon will publish the full list of licensed debt collection agencies in its register of market participants.
