The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) announced that the Government of Ontario has appointed Lawrence (Larry) E. Ritchie, ICD.D, to FSRA’s Board of Directors, effective 15 January 2026, on the recommendation of Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy. Ritchie is a partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where he chairs the national Risk Management and Crisis Response practice and co-leads the Securities Regulatory Enforcement and Broker-Dealer Litigation practice. His background includes serving as Vice Chair of the Ontario Securities Commission, where he participated on the Board of Directors, Executive Management Committee, and Adjudicative Committee, and adjudicated regulatory matters; he also previously served on the expert panel that helped establish FSRA and joined its inaugural Board of Directors.

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario announced the appointment of Lawrence E. Ritchie to its Board of Directors, effective 15 January 2026, following a recommendation by Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy. Ritchie, a partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, has extensive experience in securities regulation and previously served on the Ontario Securities Commission and FSRA's inaugural Board.
