The Central Bank of the Philippines reported that cash remittances reached USD 3.04 billion in June 2026, the highest monthly level recorded in the first half of the year. Seasonally adjusted personal remittances, which also cover funds sent through informal channels and remittances in kind, increased in June, while both cash and personal remittances grew over January-June 2026. The United States was the largest reported source of cash remittances, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia. However, the U.S. figure partly reflects the location of remitting or correspondent banks and does not necessarily indicate where the funds originated.
