The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic completed a staff training seminar on virtual assets and international regulatory standards in Bishkek on Aug. 20-21. Organized by the Office of the Coordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, the seminar covered blockchain technology, virtual asset service providers, transaction analysis tools, anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing standards, tokenization and stablecoins. Participants also received practical training in the use of crypto wallets and blockchain explorers. The National Bank plans to apply the knowledge and experience gained to further develop its regulation and supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic’s virtual asset market.
