The Central Reserve Bank of Peru published monetary aggregate data showing private sector liquidity (currency in circulation plus deposits) rose 9.6% year on year in May and 2.4% month on month, reaching PEN 511,372 million. Sol-denominated liquidity increased 11.0% year on year and 2.8% month on month to PEN 366,511 million. By component, currency in circulation grew 14.6% over 12 months and deposits increased 8.8%. Savings deposits rose 19.1% year on year and demand deposits 12.0%, while time deposits and CTS deposits recorded negative growth rates of -3.4% and -3.7%, respectively.
