The National Bank of Serbia published payment system statistics showing continued growth in internet purchases made with cards and electronic money in the third quarter of 2025, with the total number of such payments up 27.5% year on year to 28.3 million. Of these, 20.2 million transactions were made on domestic websites and 8.1 million on foreign websites. RSD, EUR and USD transactions accounted for 97.8% of all online payments (98.0% in Q3 2024). Purchases in RSD increased by 32.9% to 20.2 million and their value rose by 37.4% to RSD 60.7bn, with 71.2% of all online purchases made in the domestic currency. In EUR, the number and value of payments both rose by 31.1% to 6.1 million and EUR 282.9m, while USD transactions fell by 27.5% to 1.4 million but their value increased by 9.2% to USD 59.4m. The number of domestic online stores reached 5,377 at end-September 2025, up 18.6% from end-Q3 2024, and the release notes that cash-on-delivery purchases are excluded due to lack of data.

The National Bank of Serbia reported a 27.5% year-on-year increase in internet purchases using cards and electronic money in Q3 2025, totaling 28.3 million transactions. Purchases in Serbian dinars (RSD) rose by 32.9% to 20.2 million, while euro (EUR) transactions increased by 31.1% to 6.1 million; however, U.S. dollar (USD) transactions fell by 27.5% to 1.4 million. Domestic online stores grew by 18.6% to 5,377 by September 2025.
