Estonia's Ministry of Finance has published its agenda for 1 to 5 June, led by Finance Minister Jürgen Ligi's appearance before the parliament's finance committee for first-reading discussions on a tax administration bill and a bill on the prevention and resolution of insurance company crises. The minister is also scheduled to answer lawmakers' questions on state fiscal policy, the sale of oil shale reserves and economic research, and to take part in the parliament's information hour. Other listed engagements include Ligi's participation in a meeting of the Financial Supervision Authority's supervisory board, a dinner linked to the International Monetary Fund Article IV mission attended by Ligi and Deputy Secretary General for financial and tax policy Evelyn Liivamägi, and Ligi's meeting with the incoming director for the IMF Nordic-Baltic constituency. The ministry also said budget policy Deputy Secretary General Sven Kirsipuu will attend the European Union cohesion policy ministers' meeting in Cyprus on 4 and 5 June to discuss how different policies in the 2028 to 2034 budget period could strengthen the competitiveness of less developed regions, while Ligi will attend the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development annual meeting in Riga on 5 to 7 June.
