The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) has warned that a counterfeit surety policy issued in the name of Axiom Insurance Company JSC has been reported and disavowed by the insurer. Axiom also confirmed that the email address axiominsurancejsc@ik.me is fraudulent. Axiom is a Bulgarian insurer supervised by the Financial Supervision Commission and authorized to operate in Italy under the freedom to provide services, including in surety insurance. IVASS previously warned of counterfeit draft policies and policies bearing the company’s name in 2024 and 2025. Consumers should verify insurers, intermediaries and surety policies through IVASS registers and verification resources before paying premiums.
