The Central Bank of Brazil announced it will introduce a standalone webpage for the Central Bank Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br), aiming to simplify and modernise access to the indicator’s data and supporting information. The new page will consolidate key elements needed to interpret the IBC-Br, including interactive charts, improved viewing of historical series, easier downloads, and a clearer explanation of the methodology. The layout is designed to be responsive across computers, tablets and mobile devices. The IBC-Br page is scheduled to go live on 19 February, the same date the December result will be released. The index will continue to be published via the Central Bank’s existing “Selected Economic Indicators” page, and will remain released monthly at 9:00 according to the pre-set publication calendar.
