The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM), through its Superintendence of Corporate Relations (SEP), has suspended the public company registrations of Caramuru Alimentos S.A. and Sanesalto Saneamento S.A. after identifying that they have failed for more than one year to provide mandatory information to the regulator under CVM Resolution 80. While the registrations remain suspended, the companies may not have securities they issued admitted to trading on regulated markets, including the organised over-the-counter market, exchange or unorganised OTC. SEP also noted that the suspension does not exempt the companies, their controllers and their directors and officers from responsibility for any potential prior infractions. Further details are set out in the SEP/CVM notice.
