The National Bank of Slovakia’s Bank Board, chaired by Governor Peter Kažimír at its 18th meeting of 2026, approved a brass EUR 5 alpine marmot collector coin for sale in December 2026 and a one million mintage EUR 2 coin commemorating the 50th anniversary of Charter 77 for issuance as euro area legal tender in January 2027, with both coins to be produced by the Kremnica Mint.
