The Bank of France announced two senior appointments, with Emmanuelle Assouan named Secretary General of the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) and Xavier Debrun appointed Director General for Statistics, Studies and International at the Bank of France. Assouan was appointed by Economy Minister Roland Lescure on the proposal of the Governor of the Bank of France in his capacity as ACPR Chair. She has been Director General for Financial Stability and Operations at the Bank of France since January 2023 and previously served as ACPR Deputy Secretary General in charge of the Financial Stability Division (2020–2023), alongside roles spanning payment systems and market infrastructures and broader financial stability responsibilities. Debrun joins from the National Bank of Belgium, where he has led the economics department since September 2019, following a career of nearly 20 years at the International Monetary Fund; he also served on the European Fiscal Board between 2020 and 2024. Assouan will succeed Nathalie Aufauvre from 2 March 2026, while Debrun will succeed Olivier Garnier from 2 February.

The Bank of France announced the appointments of Emmanuelle Assouan as Secretary General of the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority and Xavier Debrun as Director General for Statistics, Studies and International. Assouan, previously Director General for Financial Stability and Operations, will succeed Nathalie Aufauvre on 2 March 2026. Debrun, formerly with the National Bank of Belgium, will succeed Olivier Garnier on 2 February 2026.
