The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group has published a new episode of its Update podcast summarising recent developments in sustainability and financial reporting rather than announcing a single new measure. The episode highlights EFRAG’s 25th anniversary conference on 8 June 2026 at SQUARE Brussels, its final comment letter on IAS 28 supporting amendments to the Fair Value Option to address concerns for the insurance sector, and open financial reporting consultations on Connectivity, Risk Mitigation Accounting, and a draft assessment report on a voluntary template for SMEs and startups on the European Single Access Point. The sustainability reporting segment covers EFRAG’s Sustainability Reporting Work Programme 2026, the appointment of Kerstin Lopatta as Chair of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board, and the publication of EFRAG’s first sustainability report prepared following the VSME Standard.
