The Albania Financial Services Authority published an update on its participation in the fourth Albania–European Union Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg, where negotiations were officially opened for the second cluster of chapters covering the “Internal Market”. The Authority’s Executive General Director, Mimoza Kaçi, took part in the Albanian delegation in her capacity as negotiator for Chapter 9 “Financial Services”. The conference delegation was led by Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama. The Authority framed its role in the talks around an ongoing programme to align the financial sector’s legal and regulatory framework with European Union standards and requirements, and reiterated its commitment to meeting the obligations under the financial services chapter.
