The Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) opened a call to fill 36 new permanent positions for technical and administrative staff, combining generalist supervisory roles with specialist profiles in technology-related areas. The intake continues the CNMV’s recent shift toward hiring new technology professions alongside traditional financial profiles and, together with last year’s hires, would renew around a quarter of its workforce. The recruitment is split between generalist CNMV technicians assigned to the supervision of markets and supervised entities and specialist posts covering data analysts, cybersecurity and technology risk supervision, information systems, economic management and administrative roles. Applicants for technician posts must hold a university degree and will sit a four-part competitive exam (multiple-choice test, English, written and oral), with a subsequent merit-assessment phase in which prior professional experience can be credited; three posts are reserved for people with disabilities. Applications must be submitted via the CNMV’s electronic portal using the forms and instructions published on its website, with a deadline of 28 April.
