The Eurasian Group and the Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group jointly trained 41 government experts from 15 member countries in New Delhi from Oct. 5-9. The program prepared assessors to apply the updated Financial Action Task Force methodology in mutual evaluations. Using updated FATF materials, participants completed practical exercises simulating key stages of a mutual evaluation and developed findings for a fictional country. Trainers included representatives of both regional bodies’ secretariats and the co-chair of the FATF Risks, Trends and Methods Working Group.
