The Central Bank of Cyprus announced an in-person coin design workshop for Nov. 3, 2026. The one-day program will cover the principles, technical characteristics, challenges and current practices of coin design. Participants who complete the workshop will be eligible to apply for inclusion on the central bank’s list of collaborators for designing numismatic items. Participation is limited to graduates of fine arts, graphic design or related programs, as well as people recognized in national or international coin or stamp design competitions. Coin designers Chiara Principe and Georgios Stamatopoulos will serve as the principal speakers. The workshop will be conducted in English with interpretation to and from Greek, and applications are due by Oct. 9, 2026. Further details on the venue, program and registration will follow.
