The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that its Talas regional office held guest lectures for senior school students as part of Global Money Week 2026, delivered between 30 March and 2 April 2026 in the Talas region. Sessions were hosted at four secondary schools in the villages of Kalba, Chon Kara-Buura, Kyrgyzstan and Kenesh, and covered the history of the Kyrgyz som, financial planning, making payments using QR codes, countering dropper activity, and the process for activating and removing a self-imposed ban on obtaining credit via the “Tunduk” mobile application of the state electronic services portal.
