The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has alerted the public to bank notices concerning fraudulent websites, fake internet banking login screens, phishing emails and other reported scams. It reminded customers that banks will not send SMS messages or emails containing links to conduct transactions or request sensitive information, including login passwords and one-time passwords, by phone, email or SMS. Anyone who has disclosed personal information or conducted transactions in response to these scams should contact the relevant bank and report the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force.
