The Dubai Financial Services Authority and the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy and Tourism signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation and enable information exchange on the regulatory oversight of auditors and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions across their respective jurisdictions, including Dubai International Financial Centre. The MoU sets a framework for collaboration aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and integrity across financial and non-financial sectors, and supports coordinated supervision and enforcement aligned with international best practices. It also reinforces joint efforts to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and the proliferation of illicit activities, subject to the applicable laws and regulations governing each authority.
