The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance has put into production Version 3 of the Operations Registration System (Sistema de Registro de Operações, SRO), requiring supervised entities to submit data using a new layout that replaces the previous model. The release reflects a comprehensive rebuild following a review of the information scope carried out by a working group established under SUSEP Ordinance No. 8,242/2023. The update fully reorganises reporting fields and sets clearer rules on which fields must be completed, aiming to make submissions simpler and more objective. It also changes how often certain information is sent, with movements in premiums, claims and contributions shifting from event-by-event reporting to aggregate total fields to improve system performance and reduce reporting burden. Integrated testing with weekly meetings was conducted in January and February 2026 to support the transition.
