The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) imposed an administrative penalty of CAD 5,000 on Donald Newton Mason and suspended his life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence for failing to provide information requested by the regulator. FSRA cited subsection 442.3(1) of Ontario’s Insurance Act as the basis for the breach. Mason did not request a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal and did not contest FSRA’s proposal.
