The Brazil Securities Commission’s Advisory Committee on Education presented the 19th Investor Education Press Award to four journalists at the opening of the 27th International Investor Relations and Capital Markets Meeting in São Paulo. Vinicius Novais won the national newspaper category, Carmen Pompeu de Sousa Brasil the regional newspaper category, Felipe Frisch the digital media category and Juliana Machado the magazine category. The winning reports covered illegal distribution schemes, Brazilian investment volumes, copy trading and growth in the Treasury Direct retail bond program. The award recognizes reporting that explains personal finance, financial planning and investments or helps investors understand capital market characteristics, opportunities and risks. The prize package included a certificate, commemorative plaque and BRL 5,000.
