The Financial and Consumer Services Commission of New Brunswick has launched Finfo.ca, a consumer education program intended to help New Brunswickers understand financial choices across areas the Commission regulates. The site brings together practical information for decisions such as buying a home, choosing insurance products and planning finances, with a focus on clear, unbiased guidance. Finfo.ca includes interactive tools such as a compound interest calculator, a debt versus savings calculator, a budget builder, an emergency fund calculator, quizzes on money habits, credit and fraud awareness, and a fillable record keeper. It also groups content around major life stages and core money topics including saving, investing, borrowing and fraud protection. In the weeks following the launch, consumer education content will be moved from FCNB.ca to Finfo.ca, while FCNB.ca will concentrate more on the Commission’s regulatory role and information for regulated sectors.
