The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) reported on its public outreach at the Nane Nane exhibition in Dodoma, where it hosted an information pavilion focused on improving understanding of insurance, with a strong emphasis on agricultural insurance as a risk-management tool for farmers. Visitors including farmers, students and entrepreneurs received educational materials and watched demonstrations covering how insurance can protect livelihoods and businesses. A separate pavilion hosted by the Tanzania Agricultural Insurance Consortium (TAIC) brought together insurers offering agricultural cover and focused on risks such as climate shocks, pests and unpredictable seasons; TIRA noted that hundreds of attendees engaged with both pavilions, commonly asking about pricing, livestock coverage and how to register.
