The Central Bank of Poland published its monthly core inflation indices for June 2025, showing Consumer Price Index inflation at 4.1% year on year and inflation excluding food and energy at 3.4% year on year. Across the other measures, inflation excluding administered (state-controlled) prices was 2.5% (unchanged from the previous month), inflation excluding the most volatile prices was 4.5% (down from 4.6%), and the 15% trimmed mean was 3.7% (down from 3.8%). The release reiterates that the central bank computes four core inflation indices to better identify inflation sources and assess persistence, with the food-and-energy-excluded measure widely used in inflation targeting because it is more responsive to monetary policy than food and energy prices.
