The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has revoked the licence to conduct microfinance activities held by Oiyl-Nesie Credit Partnership LLP. The withdrawal, ordered on 25 April 2025 by the head of the Agency’s regional representatives office in Aktobe (order No. 2), was based on Article 16(2)(2) of Kazakhstan’s Law on Microfinance Activity for systematically breaching Kazakhstan’s legal requirements and the normative legal acts of the authorised body and the National Bank of Kazakhstan three or more times within 12 consecutive calendar months. Within 30 calendar days of the decision, Article 16(9) requires the entity to either re-register by removing “Credit Partnership” and any wording or abbreviations implying microcredit issuance from its name, or decide on reorganisation or liquidation; clients with unfulfilled obligations under microcredit agreements remain required to meet their contractual obligations.
