The Congo Insurance Regulation and Control Authority (ARCA) ran a refresher training for Congo Central province road traffic police managers on the basics of motor third-party liability (RC) insurance and the use of a digital verification device, while setting expectations that roadside insurance checks will be carried out on a permanent basis. Held at the Matadi national police headquarters, the session covered practical use of insurance-control equipment and the protection of insureds’ rights during control operations. Joseph Ntumba demonstrated the digital control system and Mambo Mukuayanzo reviewed core insurance concepts, alongside a reminder that the Insurance Code of 17 March 2015 provides for continuous enforcement, with checks to run seven days a week throughout the year rather than through time-limited campaigns.
