The Central Bank of Egypt published an update on the Business Development Service (BDS) Hubs under its NilePreneurs initiative, reporting over 1.16 million non-financial and advisory services delivered to around 502,000 youth, entrepreneurs, startups, and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including 210,000 women. The Hubs also facilitated EGP 19 billion in financing for more than 14,000 projects, with participation from 18 banks. The network comprises 132 Hubs across 25 governorates and provides free support including business idea selection, company establishment and registration, licensing guidance, feasibility studies, financial analysis, financial literacy, business training, and preparation of credit files, as well as matchmaking with suppliers and market opportunities. Between 2020 and 2025, the programme recorded average annual growth of 135% in services delivered and 125% in clients served.
