The National Bank of Moldova hosted an educational visit on 8 July 2025 for more than 50 young people to explain the role of the central bank and promote financial literacy. Participants met with National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu, who underscored the importance of understanding economic mechanisms and managing resources responsibly. The programme included a Q&A session covering investing, saving, accessing credit and other financial topics, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition hall on the history of the Moldovan leu and coin collections. An educational workshop, supported by the Bank’s Cash Operations and Fintech Directorates, discussed the impact of modern technologies on financial services, the advantages of the MIA Instant Payments system created by the National Bank of Moldova, and security features of the national currency. The visit was positioned as part of the Bank’s national “Financial education for all” campaign.
