The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan published its June securities market update, showing that equity market capitalization rose 0.3% to KZT 47.6 trillion as of July 1, up 21.9% since the start of 2026. The monthly increase was driven mainly by an 8.7% rise in KazMunayGas shares. However, the KASE Index fell 1.6% to 7,712.53 points and equity trading declined 16.5% to KZT 24.8 billion. Trading in the KASE Global sector increased 33.6% to KZT 25.7 billion. KASE-listed corporate debt decreased 1.2% to KZT 16.8 trillion, while corporate bond trading fell 61.6% to KZT 347.7 billion, mainly because primary-market activity dropped 68.3%. Government debt available for trading rose 0.2% to KZT 36.3 trillion, although government securities turnover declined 8.5% to KZT 777.4 billion. The Ministry of Finance raised KZT 468.8 billion through seven bond issues with yields of 14.25% to 18.76%. Collective investment fund assets declined 0.5% to KZT 325.2 billion, largely because of negative asset revaluations. Central Securities Depository accounts increased 1.3% to 5.615 million, while professional securities market participants’ assets fell 1.1% to KZT 630.9 billion and liabilities decreased 4% to KZT 164.3 billion.

Corporate bond trading dropped 61.6%, mainly because of lower primary-market activity, and government securities turnover declined 8.5%. Central Securities Depository accounts increased 1.3% to 5.615 million.
