The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) has launched its 2025 Summer Courses in Advanced Economics and Advanced Finance, aimed at spreading knowledge in economics and finance and building technical capacity through academic training. A cohort of 72 university students in economics, finance and related fields from universities across Peru will take part, with teaching delivered by national and international faculty. The courses run from January to March, with the Advanced Economics course offered for more than 60 years and focused on the management of monetary and economic policy, and the Advanced Finance course, created 17 years ago, aimed at strengthening academic preparation in financial topics. Following completion, the top-ranked students in each course will be invited to participate in the selection process for roles in the BCRP’s specialised areas, as a pathway to a career track in monetary policy and related fields.
