The Central Bank of Morocco and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) have launched the institutional website of the Futures Market Coordination Body (ICMAT), positioning it as a central reference platform for information on Morocco’s financial instruments futures market. The launch coincided with the market’s start, marked by the first listing of a standard futures contract on the MASI 20 index, the “MASI 20 Future”. Established under Law 42-12 on the futures market in financial instruments, ICMAT coordinates the actions of the Central Bank of Morocco and the AMMC in their joint oversight of the futures market. Accessible at www.icmat.ma, the portal is structured around four sections covering ICMAT’s organisation and operating procedures, the applicable legislative and regulatory framework, market ecosystem information on market companies and authorised members, and a resource centre including publications, press releases, practical guides, forms and FAQs.
