The Palestine Capital Market Authority concluded a series of workshops to prepare companies listed on the Palestine Exchange for a governance index that will classify them according to their compliance with governance instructions. The sessions explained the index’s methodology, calculation and requirements, while gathering company feedback on its design and application. The index will assess companies against 65 criteria across five pillars: boards of directors, shareholder rights, disclosure and transparency, oversight and risk management, and sustainability. The authority will review participants’ feedback as it develops the index to reflect international practices and the local economic environment.
