The Central Bank of Aruba published provisional external-sector data for the first two quarters of 2026, showing a combined current account surplus of AWG 685.4 million. The surplus reached AWG 246.5 million in the second quarter, down from AWG 438.9 million in the first quarter but above AWG 161.8 million in the second quarter of 2025. A first-half services surplus of AWG 2.27 billion, including a travel surplus of AWG 2.77 billion, more than offset the AWG 1.43 billion goods deficit and AWG 158.0 million income deficit. Net lending from the current and capital accounts totaled AWG 695.0 million, while financial-account net lending was AWG 667.5 million. The net acquisition of reserve assets amounted to AWG 842.4 million across the two quarters.
