The Austrian Financial Market Authority has launched Fonds-Lupe, an interactive transparency and comparison tool for Austrian retail investment funds that provides bundled, standardised and searchable access to key product information. The tool captures data including costs, risk classifications, performance scenarios and ESG characteristics. Fonds-Lupe is based on Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) Key Information Documents (KIDs) that fund managers are legally required to produce for their products. While KIDs are publicly available on an individual basis, the tool aggregates their data across all Austrian retail funds into a single, uniform view to support market overview and side-by-side comparison using user-selected criteria. The underlying content and calculations come from the management companies and the data is updated at least annually; the launch also builds on the FMA’s Zertifikate-Lupe tool for certificates and is accompanied by a new instalment of the consumer series “Reden wir über Geld” explaining the features.
