The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF), together with the Chilean Institute for Rational Business Administration (ICARE), closed its Market Development workshop series and confirmed that the resulting input will be consolidated into a Policy Document on Capital Market Modernization to be released in the first half of 2026. The October to November 2025 programme comprised four sessions with cross-sector financial industry participation, focused on infrastructure and market depth, financing for smaller companies, corporate governance, and the promotion of savings. The work is intended to complement proposals submitted by the private sector during a call for proposals that ran from December 2024 to March 2025, alongside the CMF’s internal Market Development Agenda, with implementation expected to be reflected in the CMF’s regulatory, supervisory, and research plans in the coming years.
