The Angola Capital Markets Commission published an update on an education initiative held under its Financial Education Program, consisting of a lecture on the fundamentals of the capital market for fifth-year law students from the Catholic University of Angola, followed by a guided institutional visit. The session, held at the commission's premises on June 24, was aimed at strengthening financial literacy, investment culture and public understanding of how the capital market works. The lecture covered the operation of Angola's financial system, the core principles of the capital market, the role of the commission, and the importance of saving and investment. It also gave participants an overview of the main instruments, participants and mechanisms in this segment of the financial system. The activity included a question-and-answer segment and a tour of the commission's departments, giving students a closer view of its regulatory, supervisory, promotional and market development functions.
